The Urban Rift

A New Space Between

The proposed development features two towers of 30 and 34 storeys, strategically positioned to enhance connectivity between the existing urban plazas and the block’s gateway at the corner. This linkage is facilitated through a dynamic mixed-use corridor that fosters seamless pedestrian movement and urban interaction.

The concept envisions the twin towers as a single entity that has been split in two, much like slicing open a fruit. The exterior façade, with its structured geometric pattern, acts as the "skin", giving the buildings a strong and defined presence within the city.

However, the moment of division reveals something completely different inside, a soft, vibrant core represented by the bold red surfaces that emerge where the two halves were once connected.

URBAN CUT

The "cut" is more than a design gesture, it is an urban strategy, transforming what could have been a rigid mass into an engaging, people-oriented space.

By revealing the vibrant core, the project celebrates the intersection of architecture, movement, and public life, turning a once-solid volume into a porous, inviting urban landmark.

The commercial corridor is thoughtfully designed to integrate a variety of urban elements, including inviting seating areas, a stage for public performances, curated public art installations, and an active commercial frontage that enhances the streetscape. Expansive patios and publicly accessible outdoor amenities further contribute to a vibrant, community-oriented space.

By designing the podiums not just as extensions of the residential buildings but as active urban interfaces, the development ensures they blend seamlessly into the surrounding context. This approach transforms them into inclusive and engaging spaces where residents, visitors, and the broader community can interact, enhancing the overall vibrancy and social fabric of the neighborhood.

Interactive Podiums

By carving a passage through the architecture, the project opens itself to the city, fostering accessibility, social engagement, and a renewed sense of place.

The division of the single mass into two towers was not arbitrary,

it was driven by the desire to enhance urban connectivity. The design opens up a porous urban gateway, allowing people, views, and energy to flow through.

The red cut becomes a passage, a dynamic threshold between two worlds, the structured verticality of the towers and the fluid movement of the city below.

Through thoughtful design, gateways create clear entry points, enhancing accessibility while adding a sense of identity and openness.
