the sailhouse

The proposed Sailhouse Building is a 10-story mixed-use development located along city's vibrant waterfront. The building offers a balanced mix of residential and commercial spaces. Its four-story podium establishes a strong urban presence, featuring retail at street level to activate the public realm, while the upper podium levels provide residential units with views of the waterfront.

A Timeless Architectural Tribute to the city's Waterfront

Nestled along the scenic waterfront, our latest architectural project is a harmonious fusion of history, modernity, and nautical inspiration. Designed to seamlessly integrate with its surroundings, this building pays tribute to the city's rich waterfront heritage and historic architectural character.

The concept behind this project is deeply rooted in its location. The lower podium, clad in warm-toned brick, echoes the historic charm of city’s old district, establishing a strong connection with the architectural language of the past.

Above, the upper levels rise with a striking contrast, showcasing a modern contemporary façade featuring white perforated metal panels resembling billowing sails. Inspired by the nearby harbor’s sailboats, the design not only creates a visual connection but also serves a functional purpose, filtering natural light, preserving privacy, and allowing unobstructed views from the balconies.

The perforated white metal panels are meticulously designed to enhance both form and function. By allowing light and air to pass through, they create a dynamic play of light and shadow throughout the day.

Anchored in history, lifted by the wind

brick roots it to the past, while billowing sails whisper of journeys yet to come. A timeless dance of land, water, and sky.

The building features expansive horizontal terraces oriented toward the waterfront and proposed urban plaza, maximizing views while creating a seamless connection to the surroundings.

Waterfront Interface

At street level, the design encourages interaction with its surroundings. The podium is activated by a mix of retail spaces and welcoming public areas, fostering a lively urban atmosphere. The inviting plaza, lined with greenery and seating areas, creates a seamless transition between the built environment and the waterfront, encouraging pedestrians to engage with the space.

The stepped design terraces enhance light, shadow, and spatial interaction, blending architecture with the waterfront landscape
